• Account Data: Information necessary to create and manage your organization, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and billing details.
• Operational Data: Sales transactions, inventory records, customer profiles, and ledger entries entered by your staff into the Anvil POS system.
• Telemetry Data: System performance metrics, error logs, and offline synchronization statuses to ensure system reliability and uptime guarantees.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your operational data belongs exclusively to you. We process it strictly to provide the POS services. We do not sell your store data, customer lists, or transaction histories to third parties. We use telemetry data solely for improving the software, debugging sync issues, and providing customer support.

3. Data Storage and Security

Anvil POS employs an offline-first architecture. Data is stored locally on your physical hardware in IndexedDB, and subsequently synchronized to our cloud infrastructure via secure, encrypted API connections. We protect our cloud servers using industry-standard security measures, including network firewalls and JWT-based authentication.

4. Access and Retention

You retain full control over your organization's data through our granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. Upon termination of your subscription, you may request a full export of your data, after which we will securely delete your operational records from our active servers in accordance with our data retention policies.
